Do you know of a way to make those first day jitters go away? While there might not be a foolproof way to get rid of them; the least you can do is minimize its effects. Whether it’s a first date or the first day of school or at a new job, it is completely normal for us to feel that mixture of apprehension and excitement. When I landed a new job with the company that I had been trying to get into since I graduated from college, I spent a week preparing for my first day because I didn’t want anything to go wrong. Job Go Round is a free website that offers a treasure trove of information on anything and everything that has to do with careers and employment. They have a separate section for their reviews on different resume services as well as an article archive with topics focusing on resume writing, career advice, job search, interviewing, cover letters, and recruiters. Even though I had already done a lot of the tips in their article on how to make starting a new job easier, it reassured me that I was at least on the right track. I thought that the salary calculator that they have in their tools was also quite interesting as it shows you how much people in certain positions are earning in different cities all over the country. Even after settling down in my new job, I still make it a point to visit Job Go Round to see what new articles they have that can help me boost my career even more.
